After Hours Angels feat. David LeSal
Like a fever dream rush, IDORU’s After Hours Angels is a dancefloor beast, intravenously dripping euphoric recall to electrified nights in strobe-filled clubs. The words of David LeSal are buzzing with spiritualized vibrations, woven carefully into the track’s stripped-down electro beat, designed to make your body move. Boys’ Shorts cook up a fiery burner, combining provocative break beats and a fizzy tempo for a club-glam, electroclash spin off the original.
Violent
Furiously edgy, the collaboration between IDORU and SIIE is an EBM drenched dancefloor banger guaranteed to seduce selective ears and make you sweat on the dancefloor. Not one, but two remixes pack a punch on this EP. Panther Modern kicks it up and breaks it down for a distorted sensation saturated with groove, while Skelesys leads disciples of dance towards an avant-garde destiny infused with haunting guitar solos and sinister basslines.
Miedo
Dark and alluring, IDORU’s latest shows off minimalism laced with cyber-futuristic sounds and electro beats that will grab you like sticky tentacles. Suede textured bass lines and edgy vocals combine tension and romance that ebb & flow throughout the track. Encapsulated by echoey reverb, Miedo will simultaneously drop you into the abyss while leaving you afloat in a black, velveteen pool. Balancing the scales of light and dark, French DJ and Producer Mala Ika whips up an airy atmosphere and shines a burst of light in her Italo style remix, for a stellar pairing on this EP.
Control Me
Free your mind from the machine as IDORU and BadWolf join forces on this spitfire club track, ‘Control Me’. Guaranteed to pump on the dance floor, BadWolf’s aggressive bass line and stylish drum hits will get you in the zone, while IDORU’s trippy vocals and intoxicating instrumentals pull you out of the matrix.
Consciousness
Taking you into a realm of deeper space, Idoru’s ‘Consciousness’ is a hypnotic, sensorial club banger perfect for dark, smokey atmospheres. Inspired by industrial and EBM sounds, this track incorporates deliberate drum hits and leaves the right amount of nothingness between its edgy arpeggiated bass and whirling sirens so your body and mind can find the light and become one with the dance floor. Berlin-based Jennifer Touch infuses her spellbinding vocals and ‘Post-Wave-Cold-Pop-Acid-Romance’ to perfection in a feverish remix of the track.
Trust You
IDORU makes her Polaris debut with a killer EP, showcasing the energy and maturity of her sound through two original tracks, as well as an excellent remix by Frenchman and label boss Darlyn Vlys. Distributed by Muting the Noise. Artwork by Oliver Laude. Mastering by Polaris.
Take My Hand
IDORU’s latest single ‘Take My Hand’ invites you to swim in its deep, sparkling pool of dark disco waves. An intentionally slow and minimal start draws you into a state of lonely romance with yearning and burning builds. Vaporous vocals call upon you for a cool ride of head highs, while dark, deliberate impacts and arpeggiated bass lines accompany punchy disco stabs sounding off like an alarm of catharsis. None other than Dark Disco virtuoso himself, Damon Jee squares the circle with his epic remix, taking you on a moody, melodic journey, then dropping you into a timely tranced-out state of bliss.
Careless
‘Careless’ is a vibrant soundscape fusing melancholy with the upbeat pulse of Italo disco, and features Idoru’s classic arpeggiated bassline, triumphant melodies met with energetic tom-hits and epic synth wave growls that will magnetize you to any dance floor. The renowned Musumeci spins the track to his liking for an irresistible remix, so expect a euphoric disco experience that leaves you craving more of his eternal groove.
Chance
Prepare to be swept away by the infectious dance beats of IDORU’s latest, ‘Chance’. Revolving between tension and euphoria, a somber bass line is met with light, airy notes of surrender and disco stabs of triumph, pushing and pulling your body and mind like the undulating tides that ebb and flow. ID ID contributes two major remixes to the EP, showing off his signature style. He takes us to another level in the first rework, a sure-fire dance floor banger that leaves you feeling energized and alive, while ID ID’s New Vision remix is an electro beast, with big attitude and hypnotic forces at work.
Forest Fire
Far from a slow burn, IDORU’s electro-laced release ‘Forest Fire’ fuels a blazing desire to run into danger with fearless passion. Like a forest fire, the driving two-note baseline imbues the track with purifying power and transcendent energy. A smoldering vocal hook activates your consciousness, with revolving synths and electrified beats to enlighten a sensorial soundscape, propelling your body to move to the fiery beat.
Vapor
An effervescent single leaning towards the Italo-disco style, Idoru’s single ‘Vapor’ is sure to disperse your solid body into tiny atoms on the dance floor. While the original mix will get you moving, the unique spin Berlin-based duos and studio partners Local Suicide and Wiener Planquadrat put on ‘Vapor’ is a satisfying surprise, keeping in line with their signature “technodisco” sound.
Angel
A heavy-hitting 3-track EP, Angel plunges into a sonic world inspired by all things neon and retrowave, from lush synths, thick basslines and roomy tom hits in the eponymous lead track to the fast-paced arpeggiators and enduring sirens of the EP’s second track, “Trust the Game”. To round it all out, the final track of the trio, “Let’s Get Lost Tonight”, showcases Idoru’s darkside once again, hitting you with a dance-ready beat and industrial-heavy influence, carried by an intoxicating vocal-hook.
How Does It Feel
With a nod to the apocalypse, Idoru takes a typically heavy subject matter and turns it into an exuberant two-track EP, beginning with ‘How Does It Feel’, a dance-ready, dark disco burner with a melancholy-meets-euphoric melody and bright Italo stabs. Characterized by a warrior-like bassline, dystopian horns, and pounding beat, the EP’s second track ‘Eonian’ leads you out of battle and into victory. Fabrizio Mammarella joins Idoru on ‘How Does It Feel?’ and puts his Italo touch to work, layering captivating vocals with a pulsating bassline.
Fascination
With an injection of ridiculousness, Idoru’s latest release draws straight from the shallows of human absurdity whilst combining a slamming bassline and sci-fi inspired vocal hook. Dosing out a mind-fizzing version, Zombies in Miami further perfects the pair, infusing futuristic, zany soundscapes with an electrified rhythm classic to their sound.
Hysteresis
True to her roots in Detroit, Idoru’s debut Hysteresis EP draws heavy, hypnotic influence from underground electro beats and its complimentary machine-induced soundscapes. With a vision of the uncertain future ahead, Idoru’s music teases an exciting energy ready for dance floors across the globe while embracing a subtle, yet ever-present jet-black edge.
